The game is the sequel to Monday Night Combat. It was released on April 18, Super Monday Night Combat puts players in a familiar position, but from a third-person perspective. Players begin playing by entering a matchmaking system that picks the number of required players in order to form a match. Super Crossfire is a 5 versus 5 competitive online mode that consists of matches between the Hot Shots red team and the IceMen the blue team. The main goal of the Super Crossfire mode is to destroy the opposing team’s Money Ball through Bot hits, damage infliction and other in-game assaults. To win the game, players must venture beyond turrets that can only be destroyed by pushing Bots non-player characters through their lane. Once the bots reach the enemy turrets, the turrets’ shield deactivates and players can destroy them to reach the Moneyball.

Super MNC is dead, and it’s got me excited for Blizzard’s Overwatch

You basically get the whole game for free, with the ability to play it for years and it never cost you a penny, but the general formula is that you can spend tiny amounts of cash on upgrades and perks, much in the same way Zynga has done with its popular Facebook titles. The setup for the gameplay is simple, with two teams of 5 pitted against each other to complete a set of objectives, the primary of which is to destroy the other teams Moneyball all while of defending your own Moneyball of course.
Each team is able to spawn waves of bots and has the use of turrets throughout the match, killing members of the other team, or their defences earns you money, which you can then use to purchase extra types of bots and power ups from various points on the games map to aid you in the fight. The map is essentially split into two areas, the lanes and the jungle.
All this come well presented, quite literally too with two really cool TV announcers giving you a play by play commentary, which is great for giving you feedback on what is happening on the playing field but also keeps you highly entertained with their ridiculous banter.
I guess I’ll have to schedule my SMNC time appropriately. It’s so much more fun when the matchmaking has enough of a pool to give me.

I come from the uberent forums and was one of the first 5 people invited to the SMNC beta in september, feel free to ask when it comes to anything SMNC related! My main classes on SMNC are assassin, assault and karl though you probbably dont care , and imma spinnin in a chair 8D.
Is matchmaking real matchmaking based on some skill rating coming any time soon? I feel kinda bad always dragging every team I play on down. Also goddamn I want to be good at this game, but it’s so hard to get into a MOBA being a shooter guy.

Killing someone with this grapple never, ever gets old. Except when it’s happening to you, of course. Grappling is a mechanic that may frustrate new players—getting tackled and losing control of your character as an animation plays out can get on your nerves, especially because opponents can chain grapples together.
